Ocean Movement by Emma Hack
Ocean Movement is a worldwide series of large-scale human installations created on beaches to open conversation around place, heritage and environment. Each work brings people together in a living sculpture of hope, inviting communities to connect through art, presence and shared care for the ocean.
The installation, Leafy Seadragon, will take place on Port Willunga Beach this November, where 888 people will gather to form South Australia’s marine emblem in a powerful act of collective expression. Professionally captured through aerial photography and film, this first installation marks the beginning of a global movement dedicated to ocean awareness, beauty and belonging.
At the completion of each installation, we place the strength of prayer over the ocean — a shared offering of hope, reverence and healing.
You are invited to be part of Ocean Movement by participating in the installation or helping to fund the movement and its conservation message. Together, we can create a living legacy for the sea.
Whether you choose to stand with us in the artwork or support the movement through funding, your presence matters.
* Join us in creating a message of hope for the sea.

How your registration supports Ocean Movement.
Ocean Movement is an independent community art project and not a charity, created and produced by artist Emma Hack.
Producing a large-scale installation of this kind involves real costs: production, logistics, permits, crew, PR focused on registrations and the time of the many people who have brought it to life. Total production costs for this project are $10,000.
After those costs are recovered, net proceeds are distributed as follows:
20% to Great Southern Reef Foundation (ocean conservation and education)
20% to Emma Hack (artist)
20% to Music for the Sea
40% to Future Ocean Movement projects (taking this installation to new locations around the world).
Proceeds from print and image sales follow the same distribution.
We are grateful for every registration. Your $20 makes this artwork, the conservation message, and what comes next.
Thank you for being part of something truly exciting and beautful. 🌊
