MOTHER GAIA COLLECTION
'CHI' - Chinoiserie Collection
These special affordable art release's are available on a sliding scale price point
First release: 20 only @ $490 AUD
‘CHI’ features Emma's muse decorated with gorgeous greens and midnight blue peacock within her hand painted background of rolling 'CHI' in reds and gold leaf. A swirling energy around her stauesque muse.
Chi is your life force, the energy that flows through you and through everything. It is that which gives you life.
As with most of Emma's works, the background is hand-painted on canvas. The model stands in front of the artwork, while Emma body paints her to match her surrounds. This artwork was created over 12 hrs application and photography. Using the camera position as Emma's guide, she works free-hand. No stencils or projections are used in the creation of this work, The butterflies featured are natural. The installation is then photographed for the final result.
Chinoiserie (pronounced [ʃinwazʁi], derived from the French word Chinois, meaning "Chinese") is the European interpretation and imitation of Chinese and East Asian artistic traditions, especially in the decorative arts, garden design, architecture, literature, theater, and musical performances.

Framing ideas
I recommend taking your artwork straight to the framer, the artwork is wrapped in acid free tissue paper which will prevent the paper from discolouration, however it's not a permanent storage solution. I usually frame in a white box frame, float mounting the archival photo rag. There are many options for framing so please discuss this with your framer for options that suit you and your home.
Adelaide based framer Elite Framers will frame your artwork in my suggested float mounted frame in white at $260, please email Cameron Smith with your order number to arrange directly: elitepictureframing@hotmail.com
